    Quadski recall-handlebar

    http://www.cpsc.gov/en/Recalls/2015/...ious-Vehicles/

    Recall Details Units

    About 320
    Description

This recall includes Gibbs’ Quadski which is a one-seater and Quadski XL which is a two-seater. The products are high speed amphibious vehicles that are an ATV on land, and also operate on water. The recalled vehicles have HIN numbers ranging from US-GSA601J213 though US-GSAJ1048C414 on Quadski and US-GSAJ5001J213 though US-GSAM5203H415 on Quadski XL. HIN numbers are printed on a plate located on the right rear corner of the vehicle. Brand and model names are printed on the back panel and on the side of the vehicle.
    Incidents/Injuries

No consumer incidents have been reported. Three reports of breakage during testing have been reported; one involved injury to the neck of the test operator.
    Remedy

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled vehicles and contact an authorized dealer for a repair at no cost.
    Sold at

Gibbs Sports Amphibians dealers nationwide from January 2012 through October 2014 for about $42,000.
    Manufacturer(s)

Gibbs Sports Amphibians Inc. of Auburn Hills, Mich.
    Manufactured in

    United States
    ---------------------------------------------------

$42000 is a pretty high price for a unit that doesn't get extensive testing before release

I'd like to see a sticky for any and all industry related recalls so it's one stop shopping for all forum members.

I saw them in person and would not pay half that for one. There are a couple around the Tampa area.

If big companies like Sea Doo can release the Spark with a major design flaw in the steering I am not surprised when a smaller market item like this has a recall in the steering.

Just an FYI.....The Spark handlebars were NOT a design flaw. It was a problem on the suppliers part when the bars were produced... You might have noticed that it was not EVERY Spark, if it was a design flaw them would have recalled ALL of the Sparks...

But hey, what do I know........

I went thru the same thing during the big Nikon Battery recall of <I ferget these days>

One small batch of batteries *(under 500) out of almost 1,000,000

I blew an entire months vacation recovering from that...

    Now speaking of recalls.......
