Handlebar advice needed, and Manual Reverse.
What up GreenHulk!
Tis the season, I am getting this years Sea Doo projects underway. The snow started melting 2 days ago and the itch is getting bad so I plan to be ready to go asap. I am getting the Worx steering system soon, but am needing advice or direction on what handlebars to get. I don't think there is anywhere I can go locally and get hands on with handle bars so like most things I will order online. I am not familiar with MX handlebars at all or what kind I should get for a Spark. I am wondering if there is any advice any of you can offer up. I have browsed a site or two and it seems there are a lot of options, not knowing exactly what I am looking for makes it confusing. I am under the understanding that the Worx Steering comes with everything but handlebars and grips. For grips I will go ODI.
Manual Reverse, I give two craps about reverse, but if I install this kit can I add on a VTS after?
Other Spark projects will be seat cover, Riva Seat Access kit.
I have been kicking around getting a 2015 60hp in pink with ibr, and vts for the girlfriend, but trading her bottom hulls and motor and building a turbo. Having a hard time justifying plopping down $ to do it right with my current financial goals. But I really really want turbo.
96 XP is getting new MPEM and should be ready to go.
Stoked for the 2015 season. Only got 20 hours on my Spark last year and some of them were family and girlfriend. I intend on riding a lot more.

Vts requires Ibr as it uses the Ibr motor. IBR is only available with 90hp

Thanks Xdrian, I was just thinking if I had the manual reverse I could get VTS but I didnt realize they both use the same motor...Pretty freaking stupid I can't add VTS Sea Doo dropped the ball on that one.

if you buy a 2nd spark and swap uppers then you will also need to mate gauge and ecm info

Vomit thanks. I got my steering stuff today. Went with Blowsion handle bars, ODI grips with orange flange, and Blowsion orange throttle. Also grabbed a vacate valve but it doesn't look like it will fit Spark, so it might have to go on 96 XP.
Install was going smoothly until I broke the OTAS clip. You need a long set of needle nose pliers, instead I pried with screwdriver.....It is a small magnet mount with cheap plastic clips. WORX included detailed instructions, text that is, but no diagrams. Had I known what I was really working with I would have found a tool that worked.

Finally got in the replacement part I needed and got the bars fully installed. I still need to test the throttle and start button but everything looks as it should. I really wish I would have done a step by step with instructions. The included instructions, are not great. No pictures, not very good explanations, even a part you need to include from old setup is no where mentioned. Most are more mechanically inclined then me so if I could do it it isn't to bad though.
Me being me I had to caveman my way through it and break 2 parts. One has been replaced and for now the other is fine but I am going to order another anyways for the top of the toolbox should crap happen. Also I am going to try and get an extra throttle cable in my box in case so i don;t have to track one down later. The over all process now that I have done it is very simple and I would never need the instructions again. It could take you 30 minutes with good instructions. Overall so far I am happy with the outcome, but better directions would be nice.
I broke the clip on a magnet, I also broke one side of a circle your throttle wire connects to via two nuts, and the throttle it self came missing a cir clip that holds throttle lever and throttle base together. However I had a blowsion throttle to replace it. A bit of a struggle but I got her done lol.

I had to change the stop/start switch position to the center on bottom bar between goose neck because it was hitting the body at full tilt. Still some fine tuning to do on positioning. I will take my wrench with me out to lake first outing this year. Hopefully by 1st of May if I am feeling crazy.
