New owner of (2) 2015 RXP-X's - Looking for basic mods
Been a while since I have been on here. Wow this place has grown a lot and changed a lot too.
Just bought 2 RXP-X's from a dealer in Birmingham for me and the wife and will pick them up later in the month.
Looking for some basic mods given that I don't really want to void the 4 year warranty until year 2 if I can help it. From what I have been reading it looks like the very first thing to do is to get the ECU Flashed (VTEC?? Don't know much about this product or how to buy), then on to the Intake Grate, Prop (maybe 15/19?), and anything else you guys recommend I start with.
Not looking to come off a ski at 88-90 again anytime soon - I still have nightmares of that.
75mph reliable 93 octane ski would suite me just fine all day long. Thanks!

I have been good man, we have been ski boating with a Baja Islander 242 for many years now at the lake and we just bought a weekend place there with a boathouse and 5 slips, so I figured it would only be fitting to have 2 ski's there too. I've been diving off into the 4 wheeling world too with my Polaris RZR and have been pretty busy with that stuff. Glad to be back, this place has grown 1000% since I was last around on a regular basis. It's amazing to see all of the changes and what people are into now. I hope everyone has been doing very well. I have a lot of catching up to do and a lot of "re-learning" so to speak. You guys are crazy fast now - it's mind blowing.

Vtech or R&D, with around a 8350 rev limit. I have both tunes, and I am happy with both. 4" air, remove the FA and a 15/20, that you may have to tweek alittle to get your rpms right and you will be around 75-76 mph.

Wow....there's an old timer ...at one point was it not John Abbot we call the Crayola kid after the one ski was colored out?
Lots of old faces popping back on here for sure.

if you are riding in the ocean then you must definately change the engine mounts! With a 4 inch filter, different intake grate and an impeller you will be just fine. You can either go vtech or motec. Basically motec is the best from what i have been reading but its way too much expensive and its a must on big horsepower engines and even turbo. So vtech is the way to go for that spead and since you can change it back any time. If you are looking for an intake grate i have a Riva one in excellent condition, like brand new. Pm me if you are interested.
