Seat change on an FZS, not the same old question
Hello. I really like the FZR seat on the 2014s. I like how it has more support in the back. On my 13 FZS, I constantly slide back and all around. I do want to keep the "3 passenger" seat though. Could I put an FZR seat cover (like Jettrim, etc) on my front FZS seat and get what I'm after? Or is the foam all in the seat itself? If I actually need a factory 14 FZR seat, any idea where I could find one? And I assume either way, it would still work with the FZS rear portion, correct?

I converted my FZR to an FZS. It consisted of the grab handle, rear seat and tow ring.

So no luck with just swapping covers? Damn. Didn't think it'd be that easy.

If you want to convert your FZR (2 Passenger) to FZS (3 passenger) seats here are the parts you will need:
Double Seat Assy (front)
Single Seat Assy (rear)
Rear Hand Grip
Plate A (2 req)
Nut, Nylon (2 req)

The '14 FZR has the blue seat if I'm not mistaken so you'd either need to re-cover it or get one from a different year.

Basically what I need to know is if the extra back support part is part of the seat foam or part of the seat cover. In other words, could I just order and FZR cover and get that extra support or do I need an entire FZR front seat? I'm guessing the latter. Thanks for the help.

Also it looks like the 2013 FZR seat has the same shape I'm looking for and the light grey/silver is the same as my 13 FZS so that would probably be a direct swap. Looks like I need F2R-U371A-10-00
