    Re-Sleeving 4tec block

Hi I am rebuilding a 2003 Seadoo gtx 185hp and two cylinders are good but the 3rd one is not. I was trying to rebuild it without having to bore it out and buy new pistons so I bought a new wsm sleeve for it. I brought it to a local machine shop and after a few days of trying they said there machine is not big enough. I am looking to see if anyone knows of someone who can help me out for a decent price I would be able to ship it and cover both ways. Let me know. Thank you

check with SBT for their price..of course finding somebody local shouldn't be too hard as any _good_ machine shop will be able to deal with this..it's unfortunate, but most of the really good ones have gone away due to the age of the owners and family that didn't want to be in such a dirty business. No doubt you can find a shop in NYC that can handle it. GTS!

I asked sbt once and they told me they don't machine for other people, just there own stuff. There is a 185 engine for sale in the classified that may be a better option.

if its not cracked or damaged beyond piston oversizes I would not bother with the new sleeve.

why resleeve it? just bore it first size oversize.. think its .5mm over size.. if your getting pistons it souldnt cost any more for over size.. and to bore it would be cheaper then buying a sleave and pressing it in.

Just bore 1cyl over and replace 1 piston over. Not a HP engine. New cars come that way all the time at least they did back in the 80s and 90s.
