    Trailer & plate help

I have a 2007 FX HO sitting on a single axle 1 position trailer. Would like to remove r plate but can't the way it sits on the Zieman trailer- sits on top of the plate bolts. If I pull the ski back off the rear of trailer enough to remove the plate, will the trailer do a "wheely" ? Don't have any help so this is a little scary.

Hook the trailer up to your car, latch the coupler and insert the safety pin. Now the trailer cannot tip backwards.

Make very sure the hitch coupler is properly adjusted and tightly clamped onto the tow ball

If you want more ground clearance under the trailer, back the trailer up a pair of car ramps. Then set the parking brake and block the wheels.

Put jack stands under the rear of trailer or hook it to the tow vehicle and just slide it back.

OOPS sorry didn't see Keith response.

I forgot to mention that I need to disconnect after the r plate removal so to get it in the garage for storage while plate is being cut. I can reposition it back on the trailer, but was trying to void this extra step (s).
The weight maybe to far back to unhook. Was wondering if anyone had done this and lived to tell about it. Thanks for the help.

Just put wood blocks under the rear of the trailer and you should be good. I would hook it up to slide the trailer back that way it doesn't flop around. Then winch it back up after the plate is off. Then do it again when you get the plate back. Other option is lift the back end of the ski and put blocks on the bunks to lift the ski of them. Not pretty but could work.

hook to car > slide ski back > remove plate > slide ski back forward > remove trailer from car
