    Supercharger Rebuild (on a 2005 Sea-Doo GTX 185)

All 185 HP and higher Sea-Doo machines eventually need a supercharger rebuild. Normally performed between 100 and 200 hours, this video goes through step by step instructions on rebuilding a Sea-Doo supercharger on a 2005 GTX 185.

After heating the housing and freezing the shaft with the bearing on it. Did the bearing slide into place without tapping or pressing it in? Great video.

Yes the shaft was installed into the housing by hand no press or hammer required.

Interesting. Last one I rebuilt the pusher had to support the second bearing, before screwing in the round retainer. I did lube and heated the housing but used the press. Perhaps the freezing shrinks it enough to fit without using an arbor press. Will try freezing as well for the next rebuild. Any noticeable difference with the 215hp sc?

Not sure what you're asking here.

The red 215 supercharger housing was used for the rebuild with a BRP oem 185hp rebuild kit. The 185 and 215 housings and wheel are the same so no performance increase. I have added an external intercooler and repitched the impeller so I should have some new GPS numbers after the first ride of the season.
