    Forward/reverse issues

I replaced the jet pump on my 1999 gtx rfi seadoo today. I can't get the seadoo to come unlocked out of the "forward" position without manually going to the back of the ski and releasing the latch (picture below). Can someone explain to me how I can get around this locking problem or make adjustments? I haven't tried with the seadoo running. I just noticed it right after installing the impeller.

    Sorry for the sideways pictures.

    Thanks

The throttle has absolutely no connection to the bucket

So do you have an idea of what it may be?

Are you sure you reassembled everything the same way it came off?
