    98 SPX Rave Valve Problem

Anyone have an idea why I am having an issue with the plastic cap that threads onto the power valve melting? I've needed to replace it three times. TIA!!! I checked and made sure the o-ring was in there - looked fine.

The oring can wear out and need replacing. Also the rave housing can wear over time and be out of tolerance for the guillotine shaft. This allows hot gasses to pass through and melt the cap

I'm thinking worn valve stems or housings as well.
