    65U Performance and Reliability Mods

I am getting ready to install a 65u engine into one of my Waverunner's and am looking for input from everyone on what mods I should do while the motor is out!

    1. Oil Block Off Kit-Eliminate Oil Pump
    2. The Drill Return Mod-Balances Fuel Pressure against all 3 carbs
    3. New OEM Mikuni Carb Kits-Diaphrams were old
    4. R&D or RIVA Head-Not sure what "CC" would allow pump gas
    5. Any other [email protected]!?

I'm not wanting to dig into the crankcase and do any porting. I am just looking at making a good STRONG running 1200.

Keep the stock head and mill it. D plate to eliminate the cat if you still have it. If you do flame arrestors you will have to re-jet.

    65u doesnt have a cat.
What year is the 65u, you may want to run the 1100 or 99gp stinger if its a 97 or 98 engine

Engine and ski are 98's. I am curious though what the difference in stingers are?

the 97 and the 98 have a 90mm stinger on the exhaust where the raier and the 99 have a 70mm stinger section the 70mm is worth about 100 rpm up to

Roger. The 90mm vs 70mm, is referring to diameter right?
