New look for my 2009 sho ... need help on 2014 colour

    hello ....
I want a new fresh look for my 2009 fzr sho.
I like 2014 fzr color scheme. (black and blu)

I just ordered side front rear black bump and blu graphics.
black and blu hydro turf and black and blu seat cover
    now...

I have to paint all ski in black.
    but...
    which black?
is it a metalized black? can I found the exact color number or code ?
    thanks
    Ale

Honestly, if you're going through the trouble of painting the whole ski I'd go with a MUCH higher quality automotive/boat paint in black metallic color. I wouldn't use whatever Yamaha puts on these ski's. Just my 2 cents.

Please tell me you didn't buy the hideous, non matching blue seat cover that comes on the SVHO. Please.

    This is from ColorRite............

    >> Watercraft :: 2014 :: Yamaha :: FZR

Click on a part number below to select a product to see available options.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Some colors require a base color to create a special color effect. This is called a "TriCoat" which is Base + Top + Clearcoat. If your color is a TriCoat, the base color will be listed below under "ColorRite Base" and you will need to order both the Top and Base listed. We always recommend clearcoat for the proper match and maximum protection.
Code Paint Name Comment Color Chip ColorRite Top ColorRite Base
1050 Black Metallic G Lid, Visor, Cover and Deck 5893
    1000 Black Solid A (SSA) Hull 5293
Color swatch is just an approximation for reference. It is not an exact color representation.

It's crap on the newer ones. Don't know if they changed the paint process or what but several new ones I've seen have chips and issues with paint. Not HUGE issues but why not go with a higher quality if you're re-painting the whole ski.

    YES....
I read many posts about the paint flaking... on the svho models...
I will paint my fzr with the same process of cars.
In a professional car paint shop.
I was looking at the exact color.
