Tial or Turbo smart is what I would use on a ski. They are easy to rebuild. The HKS when it breaks you are SOL. On a car where it does not get beat as bad as on a ski the HKS is great but I will stick with a spring and piston on the ski.

I have a Tial for my Fizzle IC

I've heard the Tial tends to lag a little...Have you experienced lag with it?

Whoever said that might be using too heavy of a spring. The Tial BOVs I use are all with the lightest spring Tial offers (2 psi), specifically for superchargers.

Good point...Didn't think of that making a big difference in the response time.

I have a Greddy. Since it's the only one I've ever had, I can't say whether or not it's the best.

I've only used a genuine HKS on my stage 1 FZR. I think BOV choice really depends on the application. For example, a stage 3+ ski might want the adjustability of a Tial BOV, but a lightly modded ski like mine works great with the HKS.

HKS works great when it works, once it breaks it can not be rebuilt and becomes trash. So if you ride hard I would not go HKS unless you like to spend money on a replacement when it does go out. Piston BOV's just require a seal and spring for a rebuild.
