    Compression 300x

Hi gonna check my compression at my 300x, is it just to remove the sparkplugs, connect the tool and crank it?

What is normal pressure on this engine?

    thx

Easiest to wear dry mechanix gloves and press the grey tab and pull apart on the grey connectors but before you do wrap some blue tape on just one set of the two you will be separating , this will make it easier to know which go together and not to cross the coils, they are labeled 2/3 and 1/4 but that is just the one side of connectors..

Another way to test compression is you can remove the boots too from all 4 plugs and take out each spark plug and put your compression fitting you're gonna test, but best to ground the boots to metal..

Best to just disconnect the gray connectors

the comp will only be as good as your gauge. just done mine at 125psi, but another gauge could show different.

The most importent is that the compression is nearly the same on all 4 cylinders.

10% is acceptable. Also, best time to do a comp test on a kawi is after a ride.
