2014+ SVHO - Timing Chain Problem Documentation Thread

The point of this thread is to clearly document the information found in the original thread found here
By documenting the variables, we will hopefully determine if this is an isolated assembly line issue related to certain VINs or if it a design flaw of the chain assembly.
If it is a design flaw, we need to pressure Yamaha to recall and re-design the offending component(s).
If it is an assembly line issue, we need to pressure Yamaha to recall the affected VINs.

Please only post if you have experienced (or know of someone who has) chain failure on an SVHO ski.
If you want to add comments, please do so below #4.

I will keep an excel sheet based on the information below.

The post requirements are the following:

    1) Year, Model, VIN (or serial#), Hours on engine when failure occurred
    2) Typical riding conditions (RPM, waves/swells/chop, jumping?)
    3) Following maintenance schedule? (yes/no)
    4) Variables when the chain failed? (see #2, engine warm?, RPM, etc)
    5) Comments

Hopefully we can figure this out together.

    Regards,
    'Gator
