Gprxp conversion riva 1200 intake or riva 1200

Any comments on running between 800 intake grate and riva 1200.
I hear that riva 1200 intake doesn't brake that easy as just a 1200. Actually never seen anyone as far as I know that broke. Using high speed over 90mph. But lots of experience racer and builders recommend the 800 intake as stability and top speed but not holeshot. Any comments on this. That would be great. What u guys think should be in a ski over 90mph to 95
