    2001 Pro 1200, possible purchase, comments?

    So I just joined green hulk. I actually cant figure out how to start a new thread. I had a 1999 Yamaha XL760 which ran just fine. I got sick of it and decided to sell it. I am now looking at a smaller, quicker, faster pwc. I am looking at a 2001 Polaris 1200 pro. Will this do the trick? I am not very knowledgeable yet with pwc's. What are the pros and cons? What should I look for when buying? is 2k a good price? Any other advice would be much appreciated. HELP HELP HELP

    If its in great condition 2000 is probably reasonable. I have this exact ski. Its a blast. Quick, light and powerful. Very nimble.

    Check the under side of the seat for cracking. They all will crack eventually. Replacements are a little hard to get. Myself and a few others have successfully repaired the seats.

    Its a great ski and you will have a blast on it. If everything checks out go for it.

    Welcome to Greenhulk

    I suggest you start by clicking on and reading the material in my signature links. Lots of Polaris specific info AND some basic 'what to look for when buying a used watercraft' material.

    I see you posted a similar question here;

    I see it has beach house sponsons, seat cover (loose) and probably a lever operated trim. (Doubt they are trim tabs)
