Thread: Supercharger porting

Anybody tried this? I see the early 2000's mustang guys doing this to improve flow through their Eatons.
No idea if it'll improve things, just throwing ideas out there.
No I'm not doing it (yet), still staying in stock class.
And this is the performance section...

Iv seen this as well. It's big with the Cobras. They make serious gains porting the stock blower. And
its fairly simple to do. Think they were making around 40hp at tbe wheels with a good port. I wonder how this ski would do with a smaller pulley also. 17psi is a lot though already

Yep,also I believe there's aluminum casting flaws and unevenness in the intake pipe attached to the SC,a good set of carbide burring tools of a different sizes and polishing and smoothing bits to get to tight corners would do the job..
But like you said is it worth the time and trouble to try to create better and smoother air flow, would it make a difference in boost performance..
If I had it open for any reason it would be a good time to " clean her up"..

got a 1.9 eaton on my CTSV with a ported snout and throttle body which definitely picked up some power and response and plenty guys porting the full blowers making great gains..at least in the V world

porting and pulleys are good but you are limited by the VE of the blower itself.

Did you change the pulley? Any dyno #s? Or butt dyno? My dads got the xts vsport twin turbo. Thing is sweet. Srry to hijack.

changed the upper and a few more things made 560/560 on a heartbreaker mustang dyno, stage 2 goes in this weekend, lower pulley, big cam, other shit. should be a riot. /threadjack

No problem jacking at all, while not he exact same the blowers are very similar.
I have a chewed up eaton in my shop right now that I have been waiting to play with. if anyone has a spare blower inlet and outlet they would be willing to let me borrow I can see if there is any gains to be had. I have access to a laser scanner and CFD software at work.
