New to me Gp1200 and confused on the year.

Ski was advertised as a 1998, title said 1997 and tag on right hand rear last 2 digits are 97. So it is a 97 BUT Color is blue and white, hull sticker says 1998 and the trim tab area at the back of the ski sure doesn't look like a 97 (no trim tabs and area is much further to the back).

Ski was very clean, few dings on outside but all looked like it was well taken care of, motor is very clean and had 119-120-120 compression.

Hood has a few loose rivets and mirrors are a little loose, figured I would try some plastic rivets on the hood and looks like there is no easy access to the mirror mounting bolts, more research required. Mats could use to be replaced.

Take a look at the pics and see if you can help me nail down the year.

    Thanks !

Look around on the inside of the hull. There should be a second vin tag. See if it matches the one on the outside of the hull.

Thanks, did find a black sticker not a tag, has model number and a "ai" #. Number doesn't correlate with date.

Looks like my 98 for sure. 97's were red, and 99's had alot more blue.
