RIDE system - lowering Reverse Gate to access spray hose at pump.

Hoping someone has advice about how to lower the gate from Forward to Neutral or Reverse so I can more easily get to the spray hose clamp on the pump. It seems to want to go back to Forward when the reverse handle is released and the engine is off. 2015 Ride system

    Thanks,
    Chuck

Put the handle in reverse and you should be good.

I started the ski and hit the reverse trigger and held it then turned off the engine and the gate seems to retract back to foward once the engine is off. Unfortunately there is not much in the Operator Manual about this functionality other than with the engine running. Thanks for the input though.

+1 I had to remove the cable by sliding back the spring retainer and moving the cable to the left off of the bucket in order to access the back when I upgraded the exhaust. It was the only way I could get it to work

Thank you Sam- that is exactly what I did (the manual refers to removing the cable in an emergency but I didn't see how originally) - figured it out this weekend - then read your post - spot on - thanks again!
