Good Friday was my last snowmobile ride
sled put away for summer and start the summer projects

my 05 rxp was very disappointing ski
it ran like a bat out of hell until you hit a wave
then it was a wicked red head out of control

so I am striping down the 13 rxp and putting most of it on the 05
and the 05 turbo kit goes on the 13 rxp400x

    the great swap-a-roo...lol

motor is out for small upgrades (valve springs and flywheel)
    IMO just easier to do
next will be fuel upgrade and thru-hull exhaust

I just like the arm pull of turbo power
I have never seen a rec boat that will beat a mid 80s ski
there may be a few somewhere on the great lakes

well after crawling inside the hull today, I can say I miss the old rxp removable lower seat
If some one made a kit to mod my 13 hull I would be the first one in line
again little progress on the 13, just doing custom fuel system
and fished up on the old 05.... she is ready for some tuning time

so here is my take on the fuel pump
first the bottom half does not just fall off
you really need to push on the tabs to get it loose

the aeromotive pump is a little bigger than the stock pump
so riva makes a shorter connector to fit it the surge tank

You can easily modify the original to make it just like the riva billet unit. But honestly, you can just run the hose directly to the pump nipple.

You running the return directly into the surge?

yes, my mod uses the stock output fitting so it will now be the return,
and both the stock hoes will return the fuel to the surge tank
the pump output line now goes to a new 5/16 barb bulkhead fitting that just barley fits in the top of the unit
it has a 6an fitting on the outside of the tank
IMO you would be better off not using/moding the stock connector because after you shorten it, it will not be deep enough for the seal to fit all the way into

well my arms have enough fiberglass to build another hull.....lol
Just to reach the back of the intercooler you need gorilla long arms
I gave her a few MFs and got the motor aligned and loctited down
bolted the pump housing to the motor alignment plate and drilled out the extra holes in the plate
so it will fit the new style alignment pins on the pump shoe
