My first post. I finally gpsed my Ultra 250X

My buddy and I went to Kaweah lake this Sat morning at 8:00 to get some gps runs in. Air temp 57, water temp 60 per his RXP guages. It was very windy and there was a lot of wind swept chop. Each ski had 1/2 tank gas and my friends ski is a stage 1 RXP. We made a few runs with his ski first 68.9, 68.4, in to the wind and his best run was 69.7 with me on it and I waited till the wind died down some so we could get that run. We then did some runs with the Ultra 250X, it has the pump wedge and I modded the stock ride plate my self. The first run in to the wind yielded 67.4 about what I exspected but after that this is were things get a little crazy, with the wind I got 69.9 and I had a best run of 71.3 with the wind at my side headding in to a cove where the the wind was not blowing as bad also had about 3 bars of fuel. My buddy and I then drag raced a few times and do to conditions the Ultra hole shotted the RXP by a little and then mantained the lead and as conditions got worse I pulled away. In glass his RXP has more top end we have raced at other times and he dose pull me on top. In glass in the past he has gpsed 70 to 71.5. Now I do not Know how to explane the high gps #s on the Ultra 250X. I know I normally turn 7740 to 7780 but on this day It was doing 7900 to 7940+. Kawasaki did a great job on this ski and I love it. My buddies RXP is going to be getting a stage 2 kit soon and his brother is putting a stage 2 kit on his GPR1300. I have talked to RRated and I will be adding more hopups soon. Well looks like I will have a lot of work to do to keep up with my friends. If any one from the forum wants to meet and ride at a lake in our area email and let me know. [email protected].

    Thanks TOQUICK250X

I had a similar experiance last week. The fastest mine has gps'd was 67.3 with my 5'7" 170 lb friend riding.(no wind upper 60's air temp) I am 6' 190 and ran 66.8 into a pretty srong headwind last thursday. I had about a 1/4 tank less fuel thursday but not only was the wind strong, it was much choppier. I had about 3 hrs differance on the ski. 9 thursday verses about 5.5 before.
