The diagram is pretty clear on how to hook up a triple outlet however I have a couple of questions. Does it matter which side you take the fuel line to? What did yall use to plug the other side where the fuel lines went to the other carbs?

Not sure what you are asking.
The fuel supply from the tank goes to the pump inlet.
And the pulse connection connects to the pulse hose from the crankcase.

Each of the pump outlets goes to an individual carburetor fuel inlet.
To cap off the now unneeded carry through nipples, you can use purpose made caps, or just put a metal plugs in the end of short hose sections. Be sure to use clamps to prevent vibration from loosening them off.

..........and , if it will not start and or run correctly when mounted in the OEM location, mount it in the lowest part of the hull.

I had to put mine in front of the battery.
