Protaper handlebar install with stock grips!

This was tonight's project thanks to some writeups on here it was quite easy. Decided to keep the stock grips I don't mind them. Ordered a new OEM throttle side grip from yamaha to match I wasn't going to fight to unglue the original one, not for $10.

All I had to do was sand down the trim side handlebars so it turns smoothly for trim and drill some holes (and tap one). I will install a Riva throttle lever in a few weeks for a cleaner look.

Tomorrow's project is to paint the ugly bar clamps and make the carbon fiber filler out of a spare panel I have from another project.

With the handlebar tree exposed it has some bolt holes for the original padding that will work out perfect to bolt down a bracket for my Digatron tachometer, next week's project.

    It's starting to look like a 70mph 2-stroke... maybe one day 80

Nice! I just installed a set of Hot Products handlebars with ODI grips and billet finger throttle on my 97 venture 760.
