    Started Taking engine apart

i got a rxp 07 supercharged. brought it with the blown engine. i pulled the engine started taking it apart and noticed a hole in the side of the block. So far the head doesnt look bad, im gonna finish splitting the case tonight to see what everything else looks like. Do you guys think this is total loss engine wise?

    Will depend on the damage.
Ive seen holes and found pieces of the piston in the back of the hull.. counterbalance shaft almost sliced in 2 and liner with holes punched in it.. total throw away, also busted rods and a little hole that patched up nicely and a new rod made it as good as new.
Given the rod is poking out, hopefully it hasnt fly cut the inside of the block.
    Never know until its apart...
Whats taking you so long?? LOL

More often than not the block can be welded. Depends on the damage
