    2011 VXR help

Hello been reading around this site for days and nights and I would appreciate any help

I have a 2011 VXR and need assistance. VXR was running great then I was taking my nephew on a ride and after a hard cut the vxr felt like it was pulling to the side and the speed was showing about 18mph even though it felt we were going about 40ish. Rpms were normal, motor sounds normal. I rode it in and checked to see if I sucked up anything and nothing there. removed intake grate and impeller is fine, no nicks/trash and I have about 1/16 inch around impeller housing and looks pretty even. nozzle moves from right to left evenly and is centered when handle bars are. Went back out cutting around on it in forward and reverse and its still acting same way. 1) has anyone ran into this before 2) has anyone tried the riva ss impeller housings. I found them cheaper than the stock cast alum ones and I may change that anyway if nothing else. Again any advise or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, Jason

you can rely on t he stock dreamometer for accurate speed reading, look into candoo for a plug and play GPS sender, very accurate method of getting the speedo to read

Thanks John, but the speedometer reading isn't concerning me at all. Its the pulling to the side really hard and lack of thrust that's got me stumped.

I'm still learning from all the members here and read where the 2011 and 2012 VXR and VXS had a recall with the plastic nozzel cracking. Could that cause his problem?

Erierunner that is exactly what it is. Spotted it at the 12 o'clock position has a crack. Thank you guys for all your help. Can't believe it took so long for me to find it. Phone video is how I saw it. But had to use my buddies iPhone since my phone was too big to get up in there. Thanks again
