VTECHTUNED.SE NEW Server - You need NEW client software to use it!

OK so new server up and we are now ready to let you use it!

You NEED to install a new client software since we changed the address so old software will never work again - delete it.

    So what is new?

Well main difference it that we separated the client software and the mapeditor.

Found bugs in v 41, and 43, this is now v43
    Client software:
    http://vtechtuned.com/file.php?id=25

    Mapeditor:
    http://vtechtuned.com/file.php?id=22

I will soon write more about other news that this server can do..

This file will make your Symantec AV software made. I submitted to Symantec to put the SW on their safe list. It normally takes about 34 hours to get this sort of thing thru Symantec.

here is the link for Symantec users to submit this sort of thing

Avast (antivirus) is the same (blocks download). But all one needs to do is disable it just to download it and install it. Then turn A/V back on and it will continue to work.

However, I'm still getting the "need more codes" error when I try to download the new tunes you personally asked me to try. I've emailed you first part of this week about it...

So for us simple people. If we have just a Maptuner, what do we need to do in simple terms. What are we deleting and what are we installing etc?

First go to "Control Panel" and fully uninstall the old installed version of "MyMapTuner" software.

Then download the new "client software" version here:
    http://vtechtuned.com/file.php?id=21

Log-in with same user info/pass as before and now you can continue to use the new "MyMapTuner" software to request new tunes or transfer tunes to the physical MapTuner programmer (hardware).

That is simple, even I can do that!

So there's nothing to do as far as the Maptun itself? Just hook it up as normal and all's happy and merry.

    It's just the desktop GUI.

Correct. The hardware doesn't get changed (I wish). Unfortunately, in order to update the hardware (MapTun), it must be mailed to them the old fashion way with a horse and wagon. Where the VT data logger is hardware flashed via smartphone app (Jetsons).

I was fortunate that last time I was at their offices they updated the firmware on my Maptun and reflashed my ski firmware too - they're not such bad chaps afterall!!
