Question Help me with this...black spots in coolant tank. Gtx 255 iS 2009

So, my Gtx 255 iS has 147 hours.
After my recent mods (details here http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=227940) i have found that after each ride i see these black bits on the top of my coolant tank.

Compression is great, the ski pulls like never before....so should i be worried?

In these pics i used some plain paper to wipe them out.
Oil level is stable after each ride.

I should add that i do not seem to loose any coolant.
I have riden my jet for 7 hours and no oil or coolant needed to be added.

Normally that is signs of blown head gasket, but that would also be coupled with losing coolant after some wot passes or after a tank of gas is burned through it. Let it sit for a while. I recently had similar issue, but didnt look as bad as yours and only seemed to lose coolant after it sat for a while. Being that doesnt look like you rev it above 8400 and since it is an 09, maybe the gasket is just starting to breakdown and the coating is coming off.

Help me with this...black spots in coolant tank. Gtx 255 iS 2009

I have let it sit for 10-15 days but still no loss of coolant. I ve also done more than 10 wot and burned 2-3 tanks.
I might test the compression once again....as last time i did was 12 hours ago and 4 months. If i remember correctly it was close to 125-124-125

Hot as if outside temperature? No...still cold here in Greece.
And if you mean hot as if my engine....no, with the Riva Thermostat it works cooler now.

Oh i forgot to mention. During last season (5 months ago) when the ski was stock i did notice some coolant loss when i d leave it to sit for some days. Then after some hours it just stopped loosing coolant!

Wondered as they get hot they start loosing the coating prior to blowing.

Definitely head gasket material. Time to pull the head, replace the gasket, replace head bolts with ARP Studs torque to 100 FT-lbs, replace OEM rocker arm bolts.

    Been there, done that.

see post #54 here for all the part numbers required: http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/show...=187371&page=2

agreed with jpt7779, thats head gasket sealing material.. it's happened to me also... just order an OEM gasket and use your old bolts ONCE only. Make sure both head and block surfaces are FLAT with a straight edge before replacement
