    Will's FXSHO

I finally got around to making my FX a little more respectable on the water. Did my own cooling upgrade, put a B1, R3, etc.. Just made the brackets and mounted the Type 14 and welded up the pipe for the BOV. Gonna do the tunnel tomorrow and throw the intake grate and seal on. My wife deserves to go a little faster.

I did ride the FX before the day went bad and it did 76 on a full tank at 8460rpm with the stock ride plate still. If I have the plate cut and re-pitch up it should be knocking on 80. The rpm seems a little high for the solas 13/22. Oh well it was only doing 65-66 before with 1/4 tank of fuel.

Well I gotta get a ride plate and probably a pump wedge. Want to get this setup to 80mph

Well things took a slight detour, put in a C3, skat 14/24 prop and R&D ride plate. Should be out this weekend with new and improved results.

Ski sounds great. Interested in how you made out. How long did it take to put in the C3?

I decided to finish up the cooling upgrade (reconfigure oil cooler routing) man those crusty old clamps suck compared to tearing apart the old fz with 2hours on it.

Water was a little rough with all the holiday boat traffic but I was still able to run 80.3 at 8240rpm with a full tank of fuel, my 165lbs an extra 95lbs behind me. It accelerates great, rpm is low, I'm not changing a thing. Its more than fast enough for my wife, not that she goes fast anyway. We did line up a few times and she pulled away from my fz.
