RXDI Doesn't Start
Hey all hopefully someone can give me some help on an issue I am having with my RXDI.
I picked up this ski a few months ago and have been having tons of fun with it but ran into a problem yesterday. Took it out to the water and it started up fine no problem was idling out to the channel no problem. Went to get on plain and it started but then dropped to 1 cylinder and quit and didn't restart took it back to the ramp tried doing some basic troubleshooting spark plugs etc. but no restart.
Started going through it today, hooked it up to the CanDoo and I am not getting any active codes. I've checked the air injectors and fuel injectors and they both seem to be working properly. I've also checked the compressor and it seems to be working correctly also. I have run through most of what I can get through with the service manual but I'm stumped. I've learnt the direct injection system pretty well so I am pretty familiar with how it works.
I can get the engine to start momentarily when I press the "Activate Fuel Pump" button and then click the air injector and fuel injector buttons to kind of prime it. It'll start then quit after a few seconds. Could it be the fuel pump not keeping pressure? I would check the pressure but don't have a gauge setup for that. I replaced the pump with a Venom pump when I first got it since the OEM pump was bad. I also replaced all of the filters that go in the tank.
I also checked the compression and the numbers are good the engine is still fairly strong. I got 145, and 148.
Any help would be appreciated I'm out of ideas.

I would have to guess your aftermarket pump is bad. If you dribble some fuel in through the plug holes will it run a bit?

Well we were able to figure out what was the problem. My aftermarket fuel pump assembly failed so we had to go out and kinda re-engineer it and now it runs perfectly. My aftermarket pump uses a cheap Chinese hose to hook up from the pump to the rest of the fuel pump assembly and with the ethanol and pressure it finally burst, thus not being able to pressurize to 107 psi.
Hopefully tomorrow it'll continue to run the same way at the lake.

I put in a Venom Racing pump. So far it seems to be doing the job.
