    2005 Seadoo wake edition

    Hey Guys.
I am new to ski's & boating. Looking at buying a 2005 Seadoo wake edition with 90 hrs on it. Anybody have any suggestions on things to check on it and do's & dont's in general?

I have the same ski now. I got it new back in 2005. Only had to replace the throttle cable because of corrosion.

    Welcome to the Hulk!

Pull the SC(supercharger) and have it rebuilt immediately and send to Jerry here: http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=146938

Change the oil, filter and plugs. Get a Shop Manual here: www.brpmanuals.com
Read the "stickies" in each section. Read through the "How to" section for tons of advice.

With proper maintenance and care you will have many years of fun.

'05's aren't supercharged......I bought one new , had a few things I have needed to replace. DESS post , solenoid , regulator, steering cable due to corrosion. Other than those things it has been a great ski.

Well, I learned something new, I thought the Wake version had the same SC I have on my 05 GTX 185………….

That makes it even easier to maintain and operate.

I put my GF on a 05 Wake 155 last year and we both love it. Its a solid ski that will still move out for what it is. Ride it and make sure it pulls around 7400 rpm wide open. Other than that make sure the coolant looks good. Change the oil and plugs no matter what the prior owner says about it. Only time I wouldn't is if they had a recent receipt from it being changed. Also look in the hull and make sure there isn't oil film everywhere. That about covers it on the 155.
