    2014 FZS SVHO Prop Question

I currently have the Riva Intake and Exhaust, Riva Scom, Riva Ribbon Delete and Riva Engine Breather as well as Jims cut to my stock plate. I am looking to either buy a Solas or repitch my stock prop. Any benefits to the Solas vs bending my stock prop (I would have the Solas checked and bent, if needed, to make sure the angles are correct from the factory)?

With just your mods I would not bother with a new impeller. Just have yours pitched. Since you still have the stock limiter you will not be spinning any higher RPM's so no increase in boost on the top end so no huge need for more prop.

You could also give the Lucky 13 cone a try and that could give you a some more MPH before hitting the limiter. But takes some work getting the spacers and nozzle opening to the sweet spot.

Thanks, Silent! Anyone have a video, or care to make one, of how to remove the pump and prop from a SVHO? I've never done it before but am quite mechanically inclined. Any recommendations on who to send the stock prop to? I was thinking Jim's Performance. I need someone who will know where to pitch it based on the mods I have.

Stock is ok but will spin out the hole

The solas will hook and give you better top speed.

Both will have to get pitched

I'm leaning towards the Solas because the one I had installed on my FX HO worked great! But I don't want to put a stock SVHO prop, with 8 hours on it, on the shelf for the next 5 years if it will net me close to the same results as the Solas.

Using the Solas worked out good for me. Sitting at 7700-7800rpm @ 75.6mph

I just installed Riva SCOM on my 2014 FZS with 2hrs. I can quickly reach 7700-7800rpm but then hits the limiter and drops back to 7500. I was told the SCOM did not remove the rev limiter. How is it your ski is able to maintain the higher rpm's? I am really confused. Any ideas?

You are probably bouncing off the rev limiter on your stock impeller causing your rpm to drop where as got water is sitting just under the rev limiter because of his solas impeller

Either you SCOM is not working or installed wrong or you need to pitch your impeller. If the scom is working then you will not drop down the RPM's as that is what the scom is for. My bet is that your scom is the issue.

Slowly accelerate to the RPM limit, and try holding it above 7500 if it does not go up past it and stay there then the scom is not doing its job.
