my RXP "cockpit" - new switch setup

been a work in progress for awhile.. the entire upper wiring harness was cut and redone.

i have a 12V power outlet to power the GPS... also have the switch for the bilge pump in there

dynotune gauges with switched 12V power thru the MPEM so they go on with the key only installed inside the mirror buckets with custom plates i made.. round black guages with red LEDs

old style UMI housing with old round style VTS buttons

the contraption on the glove box lid i call the "sandwich unit" ... houses the DESS post, start/stop, mod and set... it's a UMI engraved top cover only, and then the whole backing and wiring and structure of it was all hand made from scrap aluminum to exact precision and tiny little screws and lots of tapping threads

it was very time consuming to say the very least, and there were quite a few minds at work on this switch unit that i dreamed up. I'm pleased with the way it came out... i could not bear to have my rubber switches just ziptied in aimless places, nor could i deal with using the stock button housing... it had to be custom so while it doesn't look like much, the time and effort that went into making it look so form fit and stock was absurd.

i hate screwing around with small intricate little things like this, so alot of thanks to my buddy Rob at Formula One Marina for taking on an electrical nightmare of wiring that came out absolutely perfect.. He's one of the only people on earth that i would just hand my ski over to and let him do his thing without a worry in my mind. thank to Vman for coming over from jersey to shoot the chit and make fun of me while i made my sandwich unit, and my dad for swinging by the shop to assist in making fun of me too all in all, the three of them collectively have a great amount of confidence that my ski will last 90 minutes and not just the 60 minutes that i predict haha

check to see if this connection can handle the load rating of a bilge pump. The gauges don`t use much...PR...
