    Lost Interest

I don't know what is really up with me but even with spring here and summer fast approaching, I have really not had any interest in getting my skis to run. The '98 died suddenly last season as I was about to pull it on the trailer. I'm thinking the stator went out because there was no spark.

My 1010 needs a rebuild as the compression is down again. I'm almost tempted to sell that one just because it is such a bitch to keep running and it really isn't a rec boat. It has spent more time on the trailer being worked on than being ridden.

I guess my motorcycle has taken my interest this past winter and spring instead of fixing the skis. That and racing is dead in Texas.

Someone help me get my motivation back!!

You need a ski that doesnt require so much wrenching so you can just enjoy riding. Ride more worry less.

And half the night!! If you are working on a ski more than riding it, it may be time to let it go, might be time to sell all the old stuff & get a newer 4 stroke, usually the most work I have to do with that is wiping the waterspots off after riding it.

I have very little to do on my skis. Just gas oil and ride. When i do need to work on any of them i bring it in the garage turn on the tv and make an evening out of it.

Too bad she's only riding a VX, those things are slow
What others said, get a newer 4 stroke. I bought my FXHO last year as a stop gap to working on my Polaris and it's a blast. Change the oil once or twice a season, add gas, and ride. I'm not even sure if I want to get rid of it. The simplicity of a NA motor is nice, but the supercharged version is a blast - just requires more maintenance.
