any tips on rebuilding jet pump to insure proper a seal? also does the shaft look ok?

got the pump apart, all the old seals and bearing are out, got all the new parts ready to go, was wondering if you guys had any tips before i start putting it back together.

should i grease the crap out of everything?

also i noticed that the chrome has pealed of the tip of the shaft where the seals go on, seems like they will be ok and sit on the part where its not pitted. what do you guys think.?

If the chrome is peeled where the seal actually sits, you will crap another seal right away. Take it from a chrome platter. If you where closer, I could rechrome that fit for you. If the seal site beyond that area, you might be ok with just polishing it up.

Thanks for the reply , i will keep an eye on the seals when re installing, hopefully this pitted portion sits above the seals.... looks like its been like that for a while as its pitted and what not. fingers crossed...
