Ride plate help
Its a 2011 RXT-X 260 and my ride plate tap the ground and bent a little. Can someone tell me what kind of plate , a friend of mine had the old RXT but never saw a plate with the extra tab to the back. Whats the purpose of the extra piece ?

Dang lol. see the hair line crack on the bottom well to the very top there is welding as if it was added for support. i wonder by looking at this what kind of difference I can expect without it in a ride if I remove it

its one of two things or BOTH............
1) a ride plate tab in the middle of the plate for lift
2) a protective plate to stop stuff from hitting that steering nozzle for whatever reason they felt it necessary (maybe beaching they felt it would help & not stress nozzle) who knows
its obviously somebodies after thought and has been added for one of those reasons............BET!!!!!!!!!!

So is it safe to say I can remove it and smooth out the edge?
