I wear a Bell Bellistic. I like it a lot. Has holes on top so your head can breath.

You know, as much as guys worry about the "bucketing" effect of the MX helmets, I just don't like the idea of not having any face or chin protection. I forget who it was on here a while ago, but they were riding in some heavy chop and took the handlebars right to their chin. To me HOSS's situation seems more like a freestyle situation, and I would think that you would want as much head protection as possible for that. For top speed runs and potential high speed falls I think the Gath helmet would be fine, but if I have an 800+ pound ski being whirled around and possibly comming down on me like what almost happened to HOSS, I would want face coverage too.

    Just my 2 cents.

Those are nice PR. I am worried about bucketing. Maybe some pro guys could chime in. I would love to hear what they always use and the pros cons of full face helmets.

A good feature of the Gath helmet is that there is no way it could bucket. It fits the head and neck area snugly, it is not oversized like the motocross helmets. It is lightweight and causes no neck strain. If given the choice between a possible broken nose or a possible broken neck, which would you choose ??
