How to cut up a hull?

I'm sure i'm not the first to do this...

How do you cut up a hull?
I tried cutting up a Genesis years ago and it took all night just to cut it in half.

Sawzall? Fine tooth or coarse blade?

Circular saw for easy cutting. Finish up with sawzall into areas the circular didn't reach.

Make sure you wear a mask, glasses and long sleeves

In my neighbor hood, we just put stuff like that out by the curb. I put a bare neekid Seadoo Spx hull out a couple of years ago, and it was gone within 2 hrs.

Well in that case do it - I've never seen someone shit a golden brick!

LOL. Fortunately I dont have one of those. We have scavangers come through our hood all the time and pickup anything. I had a buddy, cut an old hot tub in half. They scarfed it up.

This method works. Just be careful about the circular saw blade snatching or binding in the kerf and yanking the saw out of your grip

Expect the blades to get worn.

When I chopped up the Hurricane I was amazed how think the hull material was in some areas.

At certain spots in the hull, there will be metal reinforcing strips glued to the underside of the hull. I had drywall blades in my Sawzall and they cut the hull material just fine, but dulled very quickly when I inadvertently cut through the metal. Change to a metal blade when you get to those spots and you should have the hull cut up in no time at all.
