    ECM Removal

I'm trying to remove my ECM to send to R&D. I've already remove the 3 screws hold the ECM on the base, but I can not figure out how to unplug the two bundle wires attached to the ECM. Can someone explain how to disconnect the two wires from the ECM.

    Thanks

Those two arc shaped plastic moulding rotate. In effect, they draw in the plug one way and push out the plug in the other direction. Don't force them, they should turn smoothly, but firmly. I can't remember if they have a locking clip that you need to push /pull, to allow the moulding to rotate. You'll soon see what's holding it now you know they rotate.

As I recall there is a couple of wire ties that need to be sniped. Then there is a couple of hidden buttons that allow a little over center clamp to rotate up. It thru me the first time.

Yes there will be 2 "buttons" that need to be pushed in one on each clip and they will rotate, but as said do not force it, they should turn very smoothly.

Well why would anyone choose r n d over vtech?
if maptuner is to complicated to use then you could send the ecu to jerry and he flash it and send back..
