I would love to know also. I cant find them anywhere. I have heard there are metal ones and there are plastic ones... I really want the plastic ones.

They are the tie down pins that yamaha uses to crate ship. The straps they use to ship are excellent also.Theyre not the ratchet type or the push button type. Its hard to explain how they tighten. but they rarely come loose. I use the same style strap on my boat.Which again came in the crate when it was shipped from factory.

The dealer pulled them off the crate and used them to tie down my 06 when i bought it.Better than anything i can find elsewhere.Im sure if you went to the dealer they have some laying around. They most likely throw them away if the customer doesnt need them.

I dont keep my skis at my house, but if you'd like to see them i can take a pic and post it.

I agree, the paint on mine is chipping off and the ring under it is rusted. I don't want the rust running onto my mats

Those look like they would be good for mooring but I don't know if the plastic ring and pin would be strong enough to tie the boat to the trailer.

I have those and they are a great to have an extra place to hook things to wether its trailering, anchoring or towing!

i went to my dealer today looking to get some new ones, they said that they only get them when they get a new ski. he looked through a book but couldn't find them.

anybody have any other ideas? i bought a can of the tool dip from home depot but dunking them with the strap still attached didn't work out that well.

any other ideas on how to strap down the back of the ski?

02GP12nate are you able to flip them over to strap the back of the ski down?
