2000 GP1200R What do I need to upgrade to ProK flame arrestors?
Looking into upgrading from stock flame arrestor to individual prok flame arrestors. What all do I need to do this? Rejet carbs? What size jets? Add T-Handle Needle valve adjusters? What else? I have been reading and everyone seems to redirect to OsideBill's specs, but I cant find a link to this thread. And what should I be looking at cost wise for me personally to do this? I have access to a friends pop-off tester. Maybe $400-$500 bucks?

You'll find the post your looking for in the Yamaha How to's and FAQ section. Look under "stickys" and you'll find O'sides post on this very subject.

Found it- got all the parts in from the greenhulk store and a few from bayside powersports, the jet ski store, and florida powersports. Finished carb rebuild/rejet, put new reeds in and prok flame arrestors installed this weekend. cant wait to take it out and see how is does!

If you did it to OsideBill's specs like he describes in the "how to" section, they work great. Start easy with the primer, never bog, make good power, and are "safe" reliable & proven.
