Anybody set back their prop on the Ultra 300..

Just got mine cut 1mm on the inner and outer back hub so the prop sits slightly closer to the stator vanes,a little less pump turbulence for a hair more Accel and should notice a slightly better holeshot, did it on my GPR and had a slight more pull and for $75 that any machinist can do it was worth it..

Probably not an issue with just 1mm taken off but check and see how much your driveshaft slides back.... you can always use a piece of rubber hose in the prop spline section to keep the shaft forward if needed!

Let us know how the setback works for ya

    Yes sir!!

One of the best bang for your bucks ,acceleration is improved slightly from take off to mid range but no faster top speed ..

Not bad for $50-75 that any machinist with high powered lathe can do in 15-20 mins, this mod has been around for yrs on all skis that want custom prop work..

You get a little extra "kick" with it ..

It became a popular mod for yrs with with CC racers on holeshot as who can get to that first buoy and that usually would determine the winner at the checkered flag ,but of course not always..

Gonna be testing Jerry's Lucky 13 pump cone this weekend, another holeshot and accelerating mod but this will take some trial and error and pump /steering nozzle grinding..
