Trojan Virus Found In New V-TECH Software

Got the e-mail to download their new software, so I did. When I was installing it, my Virus Software (Webroot) found a Trojan Virus.

Be careful if you download it...V-TECH, you may wanna take a look at your software.

What exactly did the warning say?
Did it identify a specific named threat?

That happens all the time with new software. It is known as a false positive in the anti-virus industry. Submit the EXE or the download link to you AV company and they will take a look. In Symantec, it takes about 12 hours for the response and it will be out of the virus definitions file on the next update.

Sometimes, every so often, the warning is actually valid ... shit can happen

I think "msi95db.tmp" is something that gets unpacked when you start the installation-program.
Check the setup-exe with another antivirusprogram. This may not have something to do with the Vtech-software itself, but the installler.

I let the Virus Software do whatever it does, and the program is running fine, and the Virus isn't found during a Re-scan, so I guess everything is good.
