    Carrillo Pistons 100 mm ( starndart ) need clearence

    Hello guys
    i bought a darton sleeve and now they have done everything with darton , but right now i need to know the correct piston clearence to my standart carrillo piston or will be a problem , i was browsing internet and was not able to find the correct measurements , so guys i need help

    Your piston have clirance , if you make sleeve to 100 mm is perfect becouse your pistons is 99.94 .

    so , its just do it and put in place ? but carrillo says that is a 100 mm piston or just to fit in 100 mm ?

    You need piston clearence for piston expansion..there should have been a spec sheet that came with your piston...It will give you the bore and clearence specs...

    BUT with CP or any other piston for that matter that is going in to our motors,it has been found through many others here that it needs to be a tad bit more than spec.


    As Jim stated...0035 or .0040 is the ideal piston clearence you want to have with any aftrmarket piston..ESPECIALLY CP pistons..After mine and seeing others experiance with them..I would go no less than .0040 with CP pistons..

    Thanks man , i think That u solved the problem , i have finished the job in cylinders changing them for darton sleeves , and the guy who Will works in cylinders Was just waiting for this, have u used darton ?

    Just a stupid question is it 0.004 or 0.04 ? In milímeters this diference is 0.1016 or 1.16 mm That means meter in thousan

    0.004 = 4 thousandths (correct piston to wall clearance)

    0.04 = 4 hundredths
