Is Kawasaki leaving the Jet Ski/Waverunner market?

Hello, I own a 2012 Ultra and didn't notice when I bought it new that Kawasaki was pulling back it's PWC products. Here we are 3 yrs later and while Kawasaki has what appears to be 6 options, Yamaha has 16 choices.

Makes one wonder if Kawasaki is headed the way of the Dodo bird.

I was just curious if anyone far more familiar than I with the Waverunner/PWC Market has any thoughts on this topic?

    thanks,
    Ride safe..

I think its more a matter of Kawasaki being focused on making one ski really good. Market share does not seem to be a big concern to them.

Hell, I thought Kawasaki had a dozen versions of the Ultra 310! I looked at the website and came away more confused than ever. Went to the dealer and they didn't have any in stock.

I've noticed Kawasaki's fleet decreasing in size over the past few years. They were the ones that started it all 40 years ago yet now they sell the least out of the 3 major brands in the industry.

I hate to say it but they really need to bow out. Ive never been impressed with any of their PWC choices.

There not going anywhere! They don't build four different skis with different decals and seats! They build the best skies!!!

What makes you think they should bow out ? Because they aren't the fastest on flat water ?

I loved my ultra 150 when it ran... And every Kawasaki standup I owned was a champ. Wish they would bring the sxr back with a small 4 stroke motor.

Probably because they are the least seen ski on pretty much any lake or ocean in the world?? Hell I see more Polaris skis on a normal day than I do Kawasaki. I don't think they should bow out personally but I do think they should expand upon their lineup if they plan to stay around.
