Careful if you pick one up off ebay. The recessed bolt hole is a weak point and the metal is sorta thin where the bolt goes through. This whole bottom of the recessed hole can break out and you won't be able to bolt the grate in place.

I've had one break off (sucked in a tow rope)... and the first one I bought off ebay had issue I described.

    Cheers!

Are they different from the rest of the Polaris craft?
I just removed one from a Virage yesterday. Excellent shape.

Prior to the MSX all Polaris intake grates have a tapered hole for a tapered bolt head.

The MSX uses a flanged flat headed bolt and the stock MSX intake grate has a flat bottomed hole, not tapered. You can use a non-MSX intake grate, just need to source a tapered bolt to fit the grate and the thread. I have posted the bolt comparision elsewhere, I recall the MSX bolt hole is a larger thread diameter than the older Polaris hulls.
