2002 audi a4 1.8T Pre CAT o2 sensor all white!

Anyone know why this sensor tip is covered with powder white substance?
I was getting a code and Check engine light. Reset the code and it comes back. Pics coming up

Are you possibly burning oil or coolant?

Coolant level hasn't changed since I replaced the Thermo sensor 6 months ago. Oil level has been good, no top offs needed.
