Cracked hull and newbie strikes again!
2 questions for you all.
See the crack in the hull on the 'stringer', does anyone know whats the stringer is made of (under the fibreglass)
Would a simple grind back a few inches either side of the crack and a re glass using cloth with epoxy resin suffice?
As the trailer has no support for the ski up the front, I suspect this may be the cause of this problem which I will attend to.
I decided , with some advise, that whilst I had the engine out that the driveshaft bearing and seals should be replaced.
As you can see, I did a great job on the driveshaft tube or whatever it's called
Any ideas on how to get the rest of it out? All searches tell me that Kawasaki didnt do a great job of gluing this piece in... my attempts to remove it say otherwise!
There is a hard glue, probably epoxy, around the flange, and the same color glue is evident from the underneath side of the hull.
Just to make matters worse, attempts to remove the scoop grate to gain easier access (and to replace it with a R&D) was hampered by rusty shims

I believe the driveshaft bearing /support bolts on in front of that piece you broke. You should not have had to pry on that part.
