RXP 2004 with 284 or 285 hours on it & another Washer failure

RXP 2004 with 284 or 285 hours on it & another Washer failure
    Hello To all,
I have a 2004 Rxp 6115 model if my memory serves me correctly. I have 284 or 285 hours on the ski and it has not been driven too hashly just some wide open throttles here and there. Now I can only get 6400 rpm's and 52mph on the speedometer. So based on what I have read on the forums my super charger washers (ceramic) must have broke.
Everything is original on this ski and I have had it serviced and winterized every winter. The dealer did not do the Super Charger rebuild on it at 200hours like the manual says to do. So everything is as it was from the factory.
With that being said I would like to get this repaired and fixed the correct way. Please advise me of all parts and kits that should be bought and used when I go to do this repair. I will be doing this myself with the help of another mechanic/friend of mine. I did look on the forums and saw a kit for 349.99 but that was from a older thread/post.
So again to be clear please advise me on any and all parts, kits, and things that should be looked at, changed, fixed, or done while I will be fixing the ski.
Right now I will be just opening up the super charger and looking to see if I can find the ceramic washers then I will be trying to replace those washers with metal ones. Please also advise me of where/what site is the best place to buy the metal washers from as I saw 2 different kinds to choose from if I remember correctly.
Thanks in advance with your help in this matter. I am sure you understand how upsetting this is and the fact this happened to me in the middle of the lake and stranded me. I had to paddle back to dock took me hours.........

Best to send it in to Jerry at the forum store and you'll get a proper rebuild done.

Without being rude, it's not a job for someone who thinks he can open up a SC that has shattered washers and simply replace them. IF they have shattered it's a major clean-up and the replacement of many engine parts (depending how they went and what you did). Also if you allowed it to get beyond 100hrs without rebuild, you should not be considering doing it yourself.
Even rebuilding the SC is a skilled job that an experienced motor mechanic needs to be familiar with. You also need specialist tools. You're asking for trouble.

Why did you have to paddle back if you could still get 6000rpm?

Sounds like they are just worn and slipping badly. If they have not grenaded in your engine, you are one hell of a lucky person. 100hrs MAX no matter how or when you ride. No question.

If these things let go, it's very expensive to repair the knock on damage. It can even write off older skis.

I personally have never heard of 285hrs on ceramics, anyone else have see or heard of such galactic hrs without bang boom??

Yep, you are very lucky to have it last this long!

    1. Get a Shop Manual here: www.brpmanuals.com you are going to need it

    2. Get the SC rebuild kit here: http://www.4-tecperformance.com/inde...roducts_id=763
and send the SC to Jerry for complete rebuild, simply place a note in your order and follow the "sticky" instructions here:
    http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=146938

    3. You will need to pull the front oil scavenge pump cover to clean and inspect the front filter and pump for ceramic washer parts damage.

    4. You will need to pull the rear PTO cover off and inspect the oil filter screen and pump for washer damage here also.

    5. Hopefully the 2 screens did their job and trapped the washer pieces and parts and there is no damage to the 2 oil pumps. If there IS damage to the oil pumps, you are looking at a full engine rebuild, due to that crap circulating through the oil. Hopefully that is not the case.

    6. Obviously this will be much easier to do with the engine out of the ski, but will also require the engine to be re-aligned with the pump.

Don't even think of trying this task without a Shop Manual!

wow, I think your supercharger did great to go 285 hours on original parts. Pull the supercharger first and see if the clutches actually grenaded. Another possibility is the supercharger bearing could have locked up also.

Also a update here as I think I should have been more clear as to what happened on my ski when it failed on me on the water leaving me stranded in the middle of the lake. So I was WIDE open throttle on the lake and it felt like I sucked up a fish or something was causing a power drop in the motor. So I slowed down so I could get home. Then the motor cut off when I tried to go WIDE OPEN again so I could get home quicker. Then the battery died so I started paddling for hours to get back to the dock. Eventually Some folks helped me back to the dock (another story) after hours of paddling. So when I got ski back to the dock I tried to start it again and to my surprise it started up barely. So then I drove the ski near the dock hoping to find out what was wrong. It was clear REALLY QUICK I was only getting 6400 RPM'S & the speedometer said 52 so I quickly drove it back to the dock as I knew it must be the ceramic washers that failed (A guess). When I was driving it near the dock there was no unusual noises or nothing appeared to be wrong with the ski or motor other then the super charger was clearly not working as I could not hear it. Also it was not showing or throwing up any codes when you hit the (set button 5 times) to see if the screen will display any codes.
