    Ultra in choppy waters Cavitation?

Hi there. Im new in the ultra world with my 300x. When u ride in chop my pump sometimes have alot of (cavitation?) and the rpms go down/up. You can hear it alot about 1:20 into this movie (not my ski)

How bad is this for the driveline/engine? And can u do something to make it hook up better?
(I know ultras already are the best at this)

My pumpshoe looks corroded could this have something to do with this?

    thx

That's not cavitation, your unhooking in the chop and you have the throttle engaged so for a moment your prop is out the water and pump is not loaded so it spins freely..

All normal unless you have the trim up 1-2 which is used for flat water and will keep your bouncing with the bow up to much in rough water..

No cavitation there. If you want to know what cavitation really is, hop on a Yamaha or Sea Doo. By the way, invest in some Gloves . . . will make the ride more enjoyable. JB
