Correct me if I am wrong but that looks to me like a 2000 SLX, that MFD will be hard to source, one its a COOL MFD how the Oil and Gas go up the sides, but also, its a FAST TRIM MFD, I also believe its 12 Pin, you can still get an 8 Pin MFD and swap wires and such, but being the Fast Trim style, that significantly raises the price.

You can disconnect the MFD plug from behind the display. The engine will run without the display connected. No warnings, of course, but you can at least test whether the RPM limiter issue is being caused by the faulty display.
See the MFD section from my signature links for how to remove the MFD display from the steering pad without breaking anything.

hi, firstly this ski isnt mine, its a friends and he lives 100 miles from me, also not very pc savvy so im doing the leg work for him, at some point his ski will be coming upto me to get fixed, (hopefully).

apparently he dconned the mfr and it made no difference..

also, hes telling me there is only 1 fuse fitted on the board, so 1 is missing.
